Simple Injector 2.4 beta2 available

Nov 5, 2013 at 7:11 PM
We just pushed the second beta release of Simple Injector 2.4 to NuGet. The most important changes since beta1 are:
  • Support for Windows Phone 8 and Windows Store Apps has been added. There are now two flavors of the core library, the full .NET version, and a portable class library (PCL) version that can be used over a wide range of project types, and contains a subset of the functionality of the full version.
  • The Container.InstanceCreated event that was added in beta1 has been replaced with a Container.RegisterInitializer overload.
  • Bug fix: Registration of variant types with RegisterAll failed.
  • Bug fix: In special cases where one of the registered types in a RegisterAll registration would be an abstract type (which points back to the container), the ExpressionBuilt event wasn't triggered for this abstract type and a decorator for this abstraction would not be applied (only the decorator for the collection type would be applied).
You'll find more info about the previous beta1 here.

There's are two particular features that we're very interested in getting feedback on and that's the new Diagnostics API (as discussed here), and how Simple Injector runs on the Windows Phone. Please try it out and let us know!
